This weblog is about Thomas, Rebecca and our children (Sean, Brenden and Michael). We spend most of our time doing activities. We’ll share our family as we continue our journey.

Our boys enjoy riding bikes, playing video games of course and doing home work .. Right! 

Our oldest son is nearing middle school. Wow does time fly right by!! He’s already talking about it and is looking forward to the next chapter in his life. He’s also excited about crossing into the boy scouts.

Well it’s time!! The ING Marathon is sunday. I’ve worked hard to prepare for this race so I’m hopeful I do well. We shall see

We had a pleasurable day of hiking and basking in the sun. It was nice to have presidents day off from work.

We had a great weekend. The weather was outstanding along with choices. We spent time riding bikes with friends, eating ice cream, cleaning our yard, playing at the park and then wrapped it up with some folk music and BBQ. Weekends are such an important gift to take advantage of. Imagine if you had to work 7 days a week like some do. I could not live that way.

Sean got his first laptop today. He has an email address “sean [at] daugharty.com”. He’s using his new laptop for school and playing online games with his friends.

We’re celebrating Brenden’s 8′th birthday!! He’s excited and will have a house full of friends over for a sleep-over. Make sure to wish him happy birthday.

Update: He and his friends were up ALL night .. We are letting them sleep a little before waking them up.

It’s pinewood derby weekend!! My boys are going ape Hope we win this year .. Did a lot of work on the cars .. Will hope for the best.

Update: Sean came in first place for his Den and won a trophy. He was jumping out of his skin. We are proud for him.

Update: This new economic stimulation package has me very concerned that “people” are just looking for free hand-outs .. Uggh

Completed a 3000 meter swim this morning. My arms are complete noodles. Swam for 1 hour and 46 minutes. Did ladders so it took a while.

Finished in 2.59.08 .. now I’m stuck to the couch!

Michael has realized there’s this really cool thing that happens where you wake up one morning and run downstairs to find wrapped presents. He’s vibrating out of his skin and stands next to the christmas tree wondering when this magical man is coming!! He’s asked for more trucks to line up in the hallway behind the 5 thousand trucks he already has

He’s also wondering what this whole game thing is about with his brothers who are constantly asking me about the new DS and if Santa will bring those for them.
